Bed bugs are small, elusive, and parasitic insects that live strictly by feeding on the blood of humans and other warm-blooded animals. The name 'bed bug' comes from the infesting of houses and especially beds or other areas
where people may sleep.
Bed bugs are mainly active at night and are capable of feeding unnoticed on their hosts. Bed bugs usually try to feed every five to ten days but can go dormant due to lack of food, living for up to a year.

Cockroaches have been around a long time and are successful at surviving in most any environment. While there are about 30 species of cockroaches in Texas, only a few species have become indoor pests: The American cockroach,
the German cockroach, and the Smokybrown cockroach. When in the home, they are usually found in places near food sources such as in the kitchen. Cockroaches can cause health issues.
